The Minister for Foreign Affairs is the Cabinet member in charge.
The first Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran was Mirza Abdolvahhab Khan Mo'tamed od-Dowleh Neshat who served between 1911 and 1924. Current Minister of Foreign Affairs is Ali Akbar Salehi, appointed in 13 December 2010.
Ramin Mehmanparsat is the current spokesman.
