NASM was founded in Chicago, Illinois, USA in 1987. NASM develops continuing education in the form of study courses for professional athletic trainers. Topics that may be addressed in the various courses include human movement science or kinesiology, functional anatomy, physiology, as well as functional assessment and program design.
