Whitby Redcar and Middlesbrough Union Railway . It was opened on3 December 1883 , and served the remote village ofKettleness . It closed on5 May 1958 .The station building is now known as 'Seeonee Lair' and is run as an activity centre by East Cleveland Scout District. Though the track bed has been lifted and the station canopy removed, the platforms remain.
