FINEX Management Services

FINEX Management Services, Inc. is a privately held US Corporation headquartered in Tarrytown, New York [http://www.finexmanagement.com/program.asp] . FINEX provides systems for the automation of private medical practices, including analysis of non-medical business systems; IT systems with hardware, billing, scheduling and EMR software; and human resource services including non-medical staff recruitment, training, supervision and management.

Early History

FINEX Management Services, Inc. was founded in 1980 to meet the billing needs of physicians in private practice in the Greater New York Metropolitan Area. Initially conceived of as a service bureau managing data, FINEX developed proprietary software to take advantage of the new wave of microprocessors just coming to the commercial market in the early 1980s. FINEX soon developed systems sufficiently small and user-friendly to begin marketing them to private practices directly rather than as a service. At the dawn of the “personal computing” era, FINEX was installing multi-user systems capable of supporting a dozen terminals and printers based on a micro-processor platform the size of a briefcase. The original Patient Accounting System software that FINEX developed had a twenty year life span and was retired on December 31, 1999.

A Change In Direction

Since the mid-1990s FINEX Management Services, Inc. has responded to the demand by physicians to increase efficiency by offering an exclusive “in-sourcing” solution for handling the non-medical personnel requirements of the modern medical office. FINEX provides doctors with an opportunity to “outsource” their front desk and billing personnel, while actually keeping the staff on-site. Increased demand can be met through off-site support, while FINEX provides all hiring, training, supervision, and human resource management services to these non-medical positions. This added “command and control” function is designed to increase reliability and efficiency, resulting in increased cash flow for medical practices as the office becomes more streamlined in operation.

FINEX Today

FINEX Management Services, Inc. maintains headquarters in Tarrytown, NY, with satellite locations in Manhattan and Queens, New York. The company employs more than fifty billing, bookkeeping and medical practice management specialists, and serves medical practices billing over $250 million a year throughout the Greater New York Metropolitan region and six surrounding states, from Virginia to Connecticut.
