UEFA Euro 2004 knockout stage
- UEFA Euro 2004 knockout stage
In UEFA Euro 2004, the knockout stage was the second and final stage of the competition, following the group stage. The top two teams from each group (8 total) advance to the knockout stage to compete in a single-elimination style tournament. Unlike the World Cup, a third place match is not played between the two losing teams in the semi-finals.
Note: match kickoff times are given in local (Portuguese) time; this is WEST (UTC+1) during summer time.
