Wisconsin Bio Industry Alliance

The Wisconsin Bio Industry Alliance (WBIA) is a non-profit membership organization intended to promote biofuels, biopower, and bioproducts in Wisconsin. The group was formed in January 2007 as an outgrowth of a number of different organizations, including the Wisconsin Ethanol Producers Association and the Governor's Bio-based Industry Consortium. Current members include all of the state's five ethanol producers and the state's first large-scale biodiesel producer.Cite web|url=http://www.wisconsinagconnection.com/story-state.php?Id=34&yr=2007|title=New Bio Industry Alliance Formed in Wisconsin|accessdate=2008-05-09|year=2007-01-09|work=Wisconsin Ag Connection] The alliances recognizes those organizations who contribute to the state's bio industry,Cite web|url=http://www.wisconsinagconnection.com/story-state.php?Id=451&yr=2008|title=UW-Platteville Snowmobile Team Receives Award From WBIA|accessdate=2008-05-09|year=2008-04-10|work=Wisconsin Ag Connection] and the organization's founder, Joshua Morby regularly speaks on topics including the benefits of ethanol production.Cite web|url=http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=743817|title=Far From Disaster, Biofuels do Good for State|accessdate=2008-05-09|year=2008-04-26|author=Joshua Morby|work=Milwaukee Journal Sentinel]
