The Janardhana Swamy Temple has a history which dates back to Vijayanagara empire. It is said that the Vijayanagara emperor Sri Krishna Deva raya On his way to Kalinga (Orrisa) to fight a battle slept under a small Mantapa in Ramasamudram.while he was asleep,lord vishnu appeared in his dream and told him that he is going to win the battle, the same happened. While returning back to his kingdom he instructed his people to build a temple.

its geographical area with a moderate climate throughout the year, main crops grown by farmers here are paddy(rice), finger millets(ragi), jowar, bajra, and vegetables like tomato , beetroot, cauliflower, cabbage, brinjal, as they have an advantage of selling the products to nearest markets both Bangalore and Chennai. which are both in vicinity of below 120 and 200 kilometers respectively.Groundnuts are also grown as rain fed crop in this area. mangoes are grown in small areas and some of the farmers are also into sericulture.
Ramasamudram is situated in Chittoor District. It is surrounded by Penchupadu (11 km) in the north and Punganuru (16 km) in the east. A government junior college is situated here which is donated by the reddivari family to encourage the poor to pursuive higher education. ramasamudram has a government higher secondary school, a government hospital with an in patient facility, a veterinary hospital, police station, and three primary schools, tashildar office, mandal development office, post office, Tirupati Airport and Chennai International Airport, Bangalore international airport are the nearest airports.
ramasamudram is surrounded with irrigation water tanks such as ramascheruvu, agraharam chervu, naginnani chervu, etc which help in making to boast to say to have good under ground water level in village. here infrastructure feasiblity is in a good way, for this we have to thank the political leaders and the elders of the village.village politics are predominantly dominated by two family clans> [gowda and reddy's"s< from the past few decades,but in the present,communities listed in the backward community are raising their share in the political dominance.
here people give more importance to education of their children, so we can come across many children and students studying in various professional and academic courses, and many can find them working in reputed multi national companies all over India.
