Cathy Rogers (born
May 28 ,1968 ) is a British television executive, producer and presenter, who has also had some success as a musician.Rogers was born in
Lancashire , UK. After studying medicine at Oxford University, gaining a Master's Degree in Health Policy, she joined theBBC as a producer in the early 1990s, specialising in scientific documentaries, including work on the long-running series "Horizon". In 1995 she moved to the independent production companyRDF Media , and subsequently devised and produced the popular C4 technology gameshow "Scrapheap Challenge " (known in North America by the title "Junkyard Wars"), [ [http://www.streettech.com/archives_Special/cathyRogers.html Special: Cathy Rogers: Junkyard Diva] ] also appearing on screen as co-presenter from the second series onwards until 2001 whenLisa Rogers took over. Faking It " and "Wife Swap ".Cathy Rogers has also enjoyed success as a musician, having played keyboards and sung vocals in the
twee pop groups Heavenly andMarine Research .Cathy now runs an
