Rudi Gutendorf (born 30 August 1926 in Koblenz) is a German football manager, renowned for managing the highest number of national teams - to date a total of 17 teams. Retiring in 1953 he took part in a coach training course under Sepp Herberger receiving his licence in 1954 before embarking on his remarkable career the following year.
