Scouthead

Scouthead is a village within the Saddleworth parish of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, in Greater Manchester, England.

Scouthead is situated on the top of the "Indianshead" land-formation, amongst the Pennines.

Prior to 1974, Scouthead formed part of the West Riding of Yorkshire. It stands on the old Wool Road between Lancashire and Yorkshire and contains several hostelries which were once important staging posts on the road.:Scouthead hosts one of the very popular Whit Friday band contests held annually in the Saddleworth area
