"Pillar of Salt" is the name of an A grade 2 listed road sign on Angel Hill Bury St Edmunds in the United Kingdom, thought to be the first internally illuminated Road sign in the country. Failed verification|date=March 2008 Designed by Basil Oliver, architect to Bury St. Edmund's council in 1935, it had to be granted special permission because it did not conform to regulations.Failed verification|date=March 2008
