HMAS Toowoomba (FFH 156)

HMAS "Towoomba" (FFH 156) is an "Anzac" class frigate of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

Construction

"Toowoomba" was laid down by Tenix Defence Systems at Williamstown, Victoria on 26 July 2002. She was launched on 16 May 2003 by Ms Judy Blight, and commissioned into the RAN on 8 October 2005.

Operational history

"Towoomba" hit a navigation marker off Gladstone in March 2006 and was repaired at Williamstown, Victoria.Fact|date=August 2008
