- George Tabert
George Tabert (born 1959) is a Christian author, church pastor and Bible teacher based in the
Greater Vancouver Regional District ofBritish Columbia ,Canada . While growing up in the Brethren assemblies, he underwent a Christian conversion experience at 14 and began teaching the Bible at a very young age. He worked in heavy construction until deciding to pursue Religious Studies at theUniversity of British Columbia and atWolfson College, Oxford . Upon returning from his studies in England, he devoted himself full-time to the teaching of the Bible. In the late 1990s, Tabert and others from the Brethren assemblies established the non-denominationalSouth Langley Evangelical Fellowship .Tabert also began leading studies and seminars for the greater church community in Vancouver and elsewhere. This includes the ongoing "Into the Bible: Biblical Solutions Seminar" which began in 1997. Tabert has co-authored (with Andre van Ameyde) the written works from the seminar, as well as the study guide "Follow Me: A Walking Relationship with Jesus". Tabert is also the author of the Gospel presentation booklet "Encountering God".
In 2004, Tabert’s submission was chosen in a contest to name the
Golden Ears Bridge crossing theFraser River between Langley andMaple Ridge .Written Works by George Tabert
