Teófilo Vargas Seín is the leader of the
Mita Congregation , a Christian church based inPuerto Rico .He was born on
October 23 ,1921 , to parents Don Pedro Vargas and Concepción Seín, who were active in the localPentecostal church.He became an early follower of
Juanita García Peraza , founder of the Mita Congregation, and was one of her original 11 followers. He became an active preacher at a young age.In 1970, when Juanita García Peraza died, Aaron assumed the leadership of the Mita People. Under his leadership, there has been a great expansion of Mita's Work in Puerto Rico, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Curaçao, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Spain and Mexico. The Mita temples in Puerto Rico and abroad have been built under his leadership and supervision. He founded the Colegio Congregación Mita (Congregación Mita School), the El Paraíso Shelter and Institution, and the Office for Counseling and Social Assistance.
