Paul Steele (born
December 5 ,1957 inNew Westminster, British Columbia ) is a Canadian rower, who was a member of the Canadian men's eights team that won the gold medal at the1984 Summer Olympics inLos Angeles, California .Steele was raised in North Delta, B.C. and graduated from North Delta Senior Secondary before attending the University of British Columbia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree prior to joining the Canadian National Team.
He also competed and medaled in the `83 Pan-Am Games (Venezuela), the `86 Commonwealth Games (Edinburgh), and several high-profile regatta including the Henley, the Head of the Charles, and the Worlds. His last competition was at the `88 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea.
