Prince Andrew Andreevich Romanov (born 21 January 1923) is a Russian prince and artist.

Biography

He was born in London, United Kingdom the youngest child of Prince Andrei Alexandrovich of Russia (1897-1981) and his first wife Elisabetha Sasso-Ruffo (1886-1940). Prince Andrew is a grandson of Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna and as such he is a grandnephew of last Russian Emperor, Nicholas II.cite web| last =Lundy| first =Darryl| url = http://www.thepeerage.com/p11123.htm#i111225 |title =The Peerage| accessdate = 2007-10-03 ] His godfather was Edward VIII of the United Kingdom. In 1949 he left Britain for the United States where he worked for a time as a carpenter. He currently resides in Marin County, California, and has written an autobiography called, "The Boy Who Would Be Tsar" which is illustrated with his artwork.

His work has been exhibited worldwide including recent exhibitions at Gallery 16 in San Francisco. His book "The Boy Who Would Be Tsar" was produced by Gallery 16 Editions and designed by artist Griff Williams.

Marriages and children

Prince Andrew has been married three times. He was married first in San Francisco on 9 September 1951 to Elena Dourneva (born 1927). They had one son before divorcing in 1959.

He was married secondly to Kathleen Norris (1935-1967) who he married on 21 March 1961 in San Francisco and they had two children.

He is presently married to Inez von Bachelin (born 1933).
