Majestics

The Majestics is also the name of the rock band at the centre of the 1987 UK TV drama series Tutti Frutti.

The Majestics are a fictional team of characters from the anime series Beyblade. They are each top bladers and wealthy knights from different countries in Europe, and use weapons to launch their beyblades. At first, they were very arrogant show-offs, and would not function properly as a team. However, they later learned the importance of teamwork.

Robert is the leader of the Majestics, hailing from Germany. He first met Tyson on a cruise ship while he was defeating a large number of amateur bladers. Tyson challenged him immediately, but was crushed within one minute. Robert despises anything "uncouth", and is very haughty. He believes that once he defeats an enemy in a Beyblade match, they are trash and no longer exist, and henceforth a rematch is impossible. However, he did eventually have a rematch with Tyson, which he lost, changing his mind about this belief.

In the manga, his beyblade is a "Hidden Spirits" model that transforms into his beyblade like the Takara/Hasbro version. His Beyblade launcher is in the shape of a flail, and his special attack is Wing Dagger. Robert's bit-beast, Griffolyon, is rumored to be set in armor and is very large in size, making it very hard to defeat.

Enrique Giancarlo (Giancarlo Tornatore)

The playful Enrique is the champion of Rome, but appears to be a rich, bored Italian kid, preferring to spend his time with his many girlfriends. He is often seen with Oliver, and it is believed the two are best friends, despite their differences.

He comes from a long line of gladiators, and is seen Beyblading in his family armor. His Beyblade launcher is in the shape of a sword and shield. He acts uncaring towards his bit-beast Amphilyon, which is a huge lizard-like dragon. While it is incredibly powerful, it is weak at high altitudes. During Enrique's match with Tyson, Amphilyon turns on Enrique and attempts to attack him, but he is saved by Tyson's Dragoon.

The sarcastic Johnny is a true Scotsman and plays tennis and golf as side sports to beyblading. He was the last of the Majestics to be introduced. He takes no prisoners in battle both in and out of the beystadium. Although he acts like a big tough guy, he has a golden heart, as proven in the episode A Lesson For Tyson. He also has a very short temper.

Johnny is supposedly known as "The Gladiator of Glasgow" due to his phenomenal Beyblading skills. He loses to Kai during the Majestics vs. The Bladebreakers battle because Kai is given advice (much to his displeasure) by his team mates, while Johnny lacks advice because he only knows how to work as an individual. His Beyblade launcher is in the shape of an axe, and his bit-beast is Salamalyon.

From the Get-go Kai and Johnny don't get along. When Johnny wants a battle with Kai in the Japanese version of the show Kai "declines" stating that Johnny is a "ignorant bastard" and that Kai only wishes to fight "tougher guys" To which Johnny gets angry and replies saying "You bastard...being cocky to me? Even the Queen pays her respects to me!"

From this we can gather that at some point Johnny had met the Queen and that the Queen respects Johnny. But Kai doesn't care anything about this impressive statement and replies to Johnny "You should be deepening your relationship with the Queen." Which shows how Kai doesn't care for ones status. Johnny responses by taking off his glove and throwing it at Kai's back, saying "that is unforgivable!"

One would think that the throwing of the glove is a childish thing to do, like when one is frustrated. But Oliver explains that "Johnny is requesting a duel" A duel is an engagement in combat between two individuals, with matched weapons in accordance with their combat style. In medieval times when one would demand satisfaction from the offender,in this case Kai, signaling this demand with an inescapably insulting gesture, such as throwing his glove before him. Other known ways to request a duel would be to slap a glove around your offender's face.

In the third season, he makes a cameo appearance when he discovers that the Barthez Battalion were cheating. He informs Tyson of this, but tells him that it is too late to report them, because if they were disqualified it would unbalance the entire championships too late in the game.

Oliver Polanski (Olivier Bollinger)

Oliver met the Bladebreakers in the Eiffel Tower and is the national champion of France. His beyblading style includes very graceful and beautiful movements and attacks, representing an artistic nature. He is not only an amazing Beyblader but is also the son of a French millionaire and is an amazing chef. He is overall well-mannered, polite and graceful, and is very well known in Paris. His Beyblade launcher is in the shape of a rapier. Oliver is a huge fan of art, and often paints himself. He sometimes spends his whole days at the Louvre, after reserving it entirely for himself.

He also gives Tyson advice before his Beybattle against the Demolition Boys. He is supposed to be the nicest and friendliest member of the Majestics team, and even prepares a buffet for Tyson which he made himself. However, he appears to be dense in some situations, and usually speaks out of his mind. His bitbeast is Unicolyon, and takes on the form of a unicorn. He is not mentioned in the second season and a picture is shown of him and Robert beyblading in the series finale of the Japanese version.

Biography

2000

The Majestics were met by the Bladebreakers one by one. Actually, they were introduced before the team existed. The first to be confronted was Robert, on a boat from the United States to Europe. He destroyed many children's beyblades, which drove Tyson mad and ended up on a beybattle between them. Although slightly impressed by Tyson's Dragoon, Robert defeated him easily.

The Bladebreakers then take a train through to Paris, where they meet Oliver, who is not only the local Beyblade champion, but also one of the best Cooks. Tyson fights with him in the middle of a famous park in Paris, and the battle ends in a draw. The next to be confronted was Enrique. He owns a personal beystadium, which is a copy of the Coliseum. He fights against Tyson, and wins with ease. On the next day, he fights with Tyson again, but this time he loses.

The Bladebreakers' next destination is now Robert's castle in Germany. There, they meet not only Robert, but also his friend Johnny, the most arrogant of the team. Johnny challenges Kai for a fight, but Kai refuses, stating that Johnny is a only a short-tempered boy. However, after Johnny accuses Kai of being coward, Kai accepts. After a tight fight, Kai loses, much to his disappointment.

Still in the castle, the Bladebreakers finally challenge the Majestics to a battle, as a team. The Majestics at first refuse it, but then Robert sees the challenge as an opportunity to make it an opening event for his new Olympia colosseum. He also tells the Bladebreakers that the team who wins will go to the finals in Russia, even though the Majestics did not enter the World Championship. The Bladebreakers accept, and the battle begins.

Despite all of the Majestics players being negative towards teamwork, they had to be in a team to be able to face the whole Bladebreakers team. Oliver confronts Ray in the first match, which ends in a draw. Kai takes a chance to have his revenge against Johnny. He wins after Tyson's piece of advice, but as he leaves the beystadium, he urges tyson not to "bother" him during a fight anymore. At the end of the match, Robert faces Tyson, and the Majestics team starts to realize the importance of teamwork, but due to it being too late, they lost the match.

G-Revolution

Main article: Beyblade G-Revolution

The Majestics have a cameo appearance in the Beyblade G-Revolution season, where they lost against the Barthez Battalion in the European qualifying tournament. They lost due to Barthez Battalions's unfair tactics and cheating. However, because of lack of evidence, the Barthez Battalion did not get disqualifed for this. Robert and Johnny meet with BBA Revolution in Spain to discuss this issue. The entire team makes another appearance near the end of episode 30, after Tyson wins the World Championship for the third consecutive time, watching it on screen.

In G-Revolution's epilogue (original version only), Robert and Oliver are in a two-on-two match against Aaron and Mathilda of the Battalion, while Johnny and Enrique are with the other half of the Battalion, Miguel and Claude, preparing to face off against the Dark Bladers. By this time, Coach Barthez, who was the true reason for the team's cheating, was fired by Miguel. Also, since being in a two-on-two match also meant working as a team, it is greatly implied that the Majestics have become a true team.
