- CXCR5
CXCR5 also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1) is a G protein-coupled seven transmembrane receptor for chemokine
CXCL13 (also known asBLC ) and belongs to the CXC chemokine receptor family. The BLR1gene is specifically expressed inBurkitt's lymphoma and lymphatic tissues, such as follicles inlymph nodes as well as inspleen . The gene plays an essential role inB cell migration.cite journal | author = Förster R, Mattis AE, Kremmer E, Wolf E, Brem G, Lipp M | title = A putative chemokine receptor, BLR1, directs B cell migration to defined lymphoid organs and specific anatomic compartments of the spleen | journal = Cell | volume = 87 | issue = 6 | pages = 1037–47 | year = 1996 | pmid = 8978608 | doi = 10.1016/S0092-8674(00)81798-5 | issn = ]CXCR5 has also recently been designated CD185 (
cluster of differentiation 185).References
