"The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship" is a retelling of a Russian fairy tale illustrated by Uri Shulevitz. It is based on Arthur Ransome's version of the story in "Old Peter's Russian Tales". The book was released in 1968 by Farrar and won a Caldecott Medal for illustration in 1969.
