Ansty is a village and civil parish in the Rugby borough of Warwickshire with a population of 318 (2001 census) [ [http://neighbourhood.statistics.gov.uk/dissemination/viewFullDataset.do?instanceSelection=03070&productId=779&$ph=60_61&datasetInstanceId=3070&startColumn=1&numberOfColumns=4&containerAreaId=790539 ONS Neighbourhood Statsitics] ] . The village is actually located just outside Coventry and was historically part of the County of the City of Coventry.

The village is near the M6 and M69 motorways. The Oxford Canal also passes through the village.

Ansty was mentioned in the Domesday Book as being part of the hundred of Brinklow; the main landowner was Lady Godiva. Its name came from Anglo-Saxon "Ānstīg" = "one-path", i.e. "lonely or narrow path" or "path linking other paths".

The village has a pub next to the canal called the "Rose and Castle Inn". It also contains the Church of St James which is mostly Victorian but includes parts from the 13th and 14th centuries. Just outside Ansty is Ansty Hall which dates from 1678, and was built by the former Roundhead Richard Taylor. It is now a hotel. Also in the village is the "Ansty Social Club", as well as the "Ansty Golf Club".

Named after the village is the Ansty Rolls-Royce engineering works, located just south of the village.
