June 29 ,1905 ; they had three daughters: Marian, Margery, and Helen.Morris was ordained an
Assistant to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles onOctober 6 ,1951 at age 77, becoming ageneral authority in the church.He was ordained an Apostle and member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on
April 8 ,1954 , aged 80, by Church PresidentDavid O. McKay , replacingMatthew Cowley who had died the previous December. He was the oldest person in church history to be ordained an apostle and member of the Quorum of the Twelve.Morris died on
