FIFA World Cup 1966 in England but remainedMarcel Aubour 's substitute.He later signed withAS Saint-Étienne , winning his first titles.His successes with "les Verts" and his talent as a goalkeeper allowed him to takeMarcel Aubour 's titular spot in France's goal after theFIFA World Cup 1966 .In 1971, he surprisingly leftAS Saint-Étienne , along with teammateBernard Bosquier forOlympique Marseille .Their combination in "l'OM"'s defense was full of success, and Marseille won French championship andCoupe de France in 1972.Titles
