Llangwm, Pembrokeshire

Llangwm(pronounced Langum) is a small picturesque villageFact|date=July 2008 and parish of around 450 properties situated on the River Cleddau near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, south Wales. It was famous in the past for its shellfish, and at Hook, in the north of the parish, large amounts of anthracite used to be mined and shipped. Located in the hundred of Roose, at the heart of Little England beyond Wales, it has been English-speaking since the 12th century.

Popular for visitors throughout the year with extensive use of the river and local walks, it is renowned for its festival fortnight, the last week of June first week of July.

It features a church, two chapels, a pub, a primary school, pharmacy and a shop.

Llangwm Rugby club and cricket club are active clubs and are consistently placed highly in their respective Pembrokeshire Leagues, the 3rd division being promoted this season and also reaching the cup final. =]
