Kinloch Baronets

Kinloch Baronets refers to the family of Gilmerton, Haddingtonshire, originally a branch of the family of the same surname in Fife.

On September 16, 1686, Sir Alexander Kinloch, 1st Baronet, (d. 1696), Lord Provost of Edinburgh, was created a Baronet of Nova Scotia.

His eldest son and successor, Sir Alexander Kinloch, 2nd Baronet, married Mary, second daughter of the celebrated General, David Leslie, 1st Lord Newark and with two daughters had a son,

Sir Francis Kinloch, 3rd Baronet, who later inherited his wife's family estates and adopted the surname and Arms of Rochead (or Rocheid).
