It is the largest school in School District 17 and the source of education for about 1300 students, 40% being part of a military family. Oromocto High School is also the location for district 17's district office.

General Information
OHS is currently the 2nd largest school in the province of New Brunswick. The school is home to a mandatory grade nine physical education program. This program includes activities such as 20 Minute fitness run, weight training/lifting, in its grade A weight room, squaredancing, and more. The school is currently remodeling its 350 seat teaching theater.
The Building
Oromocto High School was built in 1965 with additions added in 1967.[1] The building has sixty-four classrooms, a double gym, a BBT lab, seven computer labs, a physics lab, and a greenhouse a 350 seat "Teaching Theatre" used for plays, lectures by guest speakers, and district drama festivals. There are also three biology labs, a media resource center, an auto motove shop, a wood working shop. There are also three court yards that are used for outdoor classes and BBQ's.
