Canadian Professional Soccer League from 1998-2002.The franchise achieved little successes in the league, having failed to qualify for playoffs every year, they were eventually absorbed by the
Vaughan Sun Devils after the 2002 season. In 2003, the York Region Shooters were sold to what is now called theItalia Shooters , as the Vaughan Sun Devils, and reached the finals before losing to theBrampton Hitmen onOctober 5 ,2003 .History

In 1998, the York Region Shooters were founded and were signed to the
Canadian Professional Soccer League and finished in 5th place with a total of 17 points, and were not able to qualify for the playoffs in their debut year.1998 Standings

In 2001, the Shooters posted an embarrasing 11th place record, with a total of 15 points and 58 goals against.

In 2002, the
Canadian Professional Soccer League announced the addition of the Eastern and Western Conference divisions, the Shooters in the East. The Shooters finished 4th, and had just missed a playoff spot.2002 Standings

2003 , The York Region Shooters were absorbed by theVaughan Sun Devils , and posted an incredible 3rd place performance, with 28 points and for the first time in 5 years clinched a playoff spot.2003 Playoffs
The 2003 playoffs were great for the Sun Devils, as they made it to the championship match against the
