March 19 1982 inToronto, Ontario ,Canada ) is a Canadiansoccer defender who currently plays forToronto Lynx in theUSL Premier Development League .Cameron began playing amateur soccer with local clubs such as
Vaughan Rockets , andWexford Warriors whom he both won theOntario Cup . In March 1999 when he turned 16 he began his soccer career with London City in the Canadian Soccer League. He made his debut onMay 28 against theNorth York Astros where he scored his first goal. Cameron continued playing with London until he begancollege soccer withHumber College in 2001. After finishing his college soccer season, he signed an amateur contract withYork Region Shooters making him eligible to come back to play college soccer. He made his debut with the club onMay 24 2002 , but his team did poorly failing to reach the playoffs.At the end of the season the York Region Shooters where absorbed by the
Vaughan Shooters . This time with the Shooters he helped the team reach the Rogers Cup final but lost 1-0 to theBrampton Stallions . He returned back to play college soccer with Humber, where he was named captain and as well the team MVP. With Vaughan he again helped them reach the finals but lost toToronto Croatia 4-0, again back in 2005 the Shooters reached the finals but again lost toOakville Blue Devils to a score of 2-1. After many years of impressing in the CSL, Cameron and fellow teammateMatthew Palleschi where signed by theToronto Lynx of theUSL First Division .He made his Lynx debut on on
April 22 ,2006 in 2-0 loss at Virginia Beach, in total he played 12 games, helping the Lynx to 10 game undefeated streak at home, a franchise record, and helped reach the finals of theOpen Canada Cup but the Lynx lost 2-0 toOttawa St. Anthony Italia . When the season ended the Lynx franchise dropped two divisions down to theUSL Premier Development League , many players were released but Cameron remained and continued to play with the Lynx.He played in a
Toronto FC reserve match as a guest player on September 30th 2007.External links
