Hollard Group is aninsurance company based inSouth Africa that operates under two insurance licences: short term and life. The company was established in1980 by Robert Enthoven. The Enthoven family retains the majority share, locally through The Enthoven Family Trust (EFT) and internationally through Capricorn Ventures International (CVI). They pioneered new distribution methods such as prepaid insurance in cellphone-like ‘starter packs’ through retailers. Hollard has had 26 years of underwriting profits and five years ago began an Afro-global expansion program. In 2006 Hollard was rated fifth in a South African "Best Company to Work For" survey.
