Buddhist temple (wat ) inBangkok , Thailand. The temple is located in Wat Kalaya sub-district, on theThonburi bank of theChao Phraya River . The temple was established in 1825 byChaophraya Nikornbadin (born To, Thai: เจ้าพระยานิกรบดินทร์ (โต)), who donated the temple toRama III . Chaophraya Nikornbadin was an ancestor of the Kalayanamitr family, whose descendants includeSaprang Kalayanamitr . A poem inscribed in the temple reads:Wat Kalayanamitr Woramahavihan is one of three family temples of the Kalayanamitr family, along with
