The Humboldt Crabs are a summer collegiate baseball team based in Arcata, California. They play the majority of their games at home at the Arcata Ballpark. The team is made up of college players from different NCAA programs throughout the U.S. The Humboldt Crabs are a non-profit baseball organization operated by a 16-member all volunteer Board of Directors. Major rivals include the Corvalis Knights, the Fairfield Indians, the Maxim Yankees, and the Humboldt Steelheads. In 2008, the team's 64th consecutive season, the Crabs drew an average of 874 fans to the ball park and went 35 and 13 for the season. The Crabs currently play as an independent team. Their 65th consecutive season will begin on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 12:30 P.M. with a second game that evening at 7:00 P.M. Admission to games at the gate are $7 for adults; $5 for senior citizens and students and $3 for children 12 and under. Season passes and strips of 10 tickets are also available as well as group rates. [http://www.Humboldtcrabs.com]
