Corund or Korond ( _ro. Corund; _hu. Korond) is a commune in Harghita County, Romania, it acts as the centre of the "Salt-region" (hun: "Sóvidék"), and is famous for its porcelain and pottery. The commune comprises 5 villages:

Demographics

The commune has an absolute Székely (Hungarian) majority. According to the 2002 census it has a population of 6,180 of which 95.4% or 5,896 are Hungarian.
