Los Angeles, California , but moved to Texas with his parents shortly after his birth.High school career
Kindle was coached by Bobby Estes at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas. He excelled playing offense and defense at running back and linebacker, recording 411 tackles and 55 tackles for losses, while rushing for 5,632 yards and 86 touchdowns over his final three seasons. This performance earned him all-state honors on both offense and defense as the only Texas player in 2005. He was also named first-team All-American by "
USA Today " as well as a "PARADE" All-America selection and "Parade" Player of the Year finalist. He was invited to play in the 2006U.S. Army All-American Bowl .Kindle also played
basketball as Woodrow Wilson High's starting center. He also ran the 400m, 4x400-meter relay and competed in the long jump.College career
2006 season
After missing the first two games of the 2006 Longhorn football season with an ankle injury, Kindle appeared in 11 games at strongside linebacker and on special teams for the Texas Longhorns. He registered 21 tackles, three tackles for losses and ranked third on the team in special teams tackles with eight.
2007 season
Over the summer prior to the 2007 Longhorn football season, Kindle and his teammate
