- Jiaozhou Governor's Hall
Jiaozhou Governor's Hall is a former government building in
Qingdao ,Shandong province,China , that was built from 1904 to 1906 and designed by German architectMahlke .It has a gross space of 7,500 square metres and originally served as the
Jiaozhou Bay governor's office building. In 1914 it became theJapan ese garrison headquarters, until 1922 when Qingdao regained sovereignty. In thesecond world war it was again occupied by the Japanese, and became the seat of their regime from 1938-1945. The government of thePeople's Republic of China was seated there from the time of Qingdao's liberation in June 1949 until July 1994.
