Susan Jacoby (born 1945) is an American author, most recently of the "New York Times" best seller, "The Age of American Unreason" about American
anti-intellectualism . She is anatheist andsecularist . Jacoby graduated fromMichigan State University in 1964. She lives inNew York City and is director of the New York branch of theCenter for Inquiry .cite web
