Highway 646 was the second-most northerly provincial highway in the entire network, surpassed only by Highway 599. It is no longer a secondary highway, and appears as Pickle Lake Road on road signs. The road travels through Pickle Lake, where it intersects Highway 599, and links Pickle Lake with the community of Pickle Crow to the east and the Pickle Lake Airport to the west.
