Qabatiya or Qabatia ( _ar. قباطية) is a Palestinian city located in the northern West Bank 10km south of the city of Jenin. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, the city had a population of 19,700 in 2006. [http://www.pcbs.gov.ps/Portals/_pcbs/populati/pop01.aspx] Its total land area consists of 8,560 dunams and it is situated approximately 240m above sea level.
