Robert Lee "Bobby" Howard (born November 24, 1944 in Tallulah, Louisiana, died April 7, 2008 in San Diego, California) was an American football defensive back in the National Football League for the San Diego Chargers, the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots.

He married Barbara Howard whom he met in 7th grade. He married after graduating from San Bernadino High School and has three children, two girls and a boy. He first played college football at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he later transferred to San Diego State due to Don Coryell.
