Lake City High School is a high school located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. It is one of only two North Idaho schools to offer the International Baccalaureate program and one of only a few schools to have its music department honored with the title of "Grammy Signature School".

Basketball

The 2008-09 Lake City Timberwolves Basketball season is the 15th season in school history, and will be lead by Athletic Director and former Coach Jim Winger. The Timberwolves are returning 3 starters from the 07/08 season who placed third in the IEL.

Football

Lake City has recently gained national attention for its football team, which won the Idaho state championship's in 2002 and 2006, and was one of the top ranked teams in the country during the Fall 2006-2007 seasons, in 2006 ranked as high a 13th, and in 2007 ranked as high as 45th, in the national preseason high school football polls. In 2007, Lake City has gained it's one hundredth win in its only 14 year history. Head Coach Van Troxel is entering his 12th year as the Lake City Varsity coach. [www.maxpreps.com]

Baseball

The Lake City High School varsity baseball team has had success in recent years, Placing second in state for the 2008 season, and were State Champions in 2007. Coach Bridges retired at the end of last season, and was replaced by Darren Taylor, the former Girls basketball coach, for the coming 2009 season. [cdaschools.org]

Lacrosse

The Lake City Club Lacrosse team has also been a successful Lake City athletic program, winning three straight IEL Lacrosse Championships for 2006, 2007, and 2008. The team finished 2007 as the State Champions, and placed 2nd in State in 2008; posting an unblemished in-league record. The Lake City Timberwolves enters the 2009 spring season ranked #1 in the state under head coach Dwight Emmons. [www.lakecitylax.com]

The Lake City soccer program, coached by Chad Beadle, is a frequent competitor in IEL play.

Music and Drama

Lake City has an award winning arts department. Every two years the choirs and bands participate in the Heritage Festival of Seattle. In 2006, the Lake City Symphonic and Jazz Band won first prize out of all schools in the northwest, as did their orchestra. The Chamber Choir received a silver medal, the Jazz, Treble, and Concert choirs also all won bronze medals.The Lake City High School Marching Band have been asked to perform for Good Morning America when it comes to Coeur d' Alene on the 28 November 2007.

The Lake City Drama department has won first prize at District Drama for Northern Idaho several years in a row, for the school with the most people placing for various scenes. It also tends to score second place at State drama, usually only losing to schools from Boise. It recently won first prize again for districts on November 17 2007.
