Hauck was born at
Missoula, Montana and was schooled at the Sweet Grass High School. He did his higher studies at the University of Montana (1988) and UCLA (1991). Bobby Hauck first coached the Montana team in 2003. His record in the first three seasons as head coach at the University of Montana is 29-11. During his tenure, he guided the
Montana Grizzlies to four straightBig Sky Conference championships.
