Robbie Buck (Robert Buck, often called "The Buckwit" or "Bert") is an
Australia n radio announcer best known for his work at the national youth broadcasterTriple J . Over the years he has hosted various shows including Lunch, Weekend Lunch and the afternoon drive. As of 2008, he co-hosts the station's breakfast show.Buck's radio experience began in his home town of Lismore where he took up a late night shift on the local radio station. Once he moved to
Sydney he began doing graveyard shifts on community station2SER , and eventually became a full-time employee for the station. Following this he spent time at SBS radio and TV as a sound producer. Robbie co-hosted "Alchemy" which focused on the electronic music scene which aired on late night SBS.From 2003, he took on the role of a new show, "Home and Hosed", the successor to
Richard Kingsmill 's "Australian Music Show". Where Kingsmill's show filled a single three-hour segment each week, "Home and Hosed" was a two hour show, broadcast every weeknight for 9pm. The show cemented the station's tradition of being a strong supporter of local,Australian music , at a time when the station was going through turmoil in management changes.In 2006 and 2007 Robbie hosted a new programme in the afternoon 'drive' timeslot (3:00-5:30pm) entitled "Top Shelf Radio".
Caroline Tran took his place hosting "Home and Hosed".Since 2008 Buck has been co-hosting the breakfast show with
Lindsay McDougall (a.k.a "The doctor") andMarieke Hardy .Buck has also appeared on ABC TV shows including "
