Ballaghaderreen ( _ga. Bealach an Doirín) is a town in County Roscommon, Ireland. It is located on the N5 road in the North-West of Co. Roscommon. The Irish meaning of the town name is 'The way (Bealach) of the little oak (Doirín)'.

The town of Ballaghaderreen was located in County Mayo until 1899, when it was transferred to Roscommon by the Local Government (Ireland) Act 1898. Gaelic games supporters are split between those who support their Roscommon county team and the local Gaelic Athletic Association team which plays in the Mayo league. These mayo supporters resemble deformed bog creatures from the turf-plains of the neighbouring county, Mayo.

In 1860 Ballaghaderreen Cathedral was dedicated as the cathedral for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Achonry.
