2000 UK Snooker Championship

The 2000 Liverpool Victoria UK Championship took place at the Bournemouth International Conference Centre starting on 18 November and TV stages shown on BBC TV took place between 25 November and 3 December 2000.

Nick Dyson made a non-TV 147 break against Robert Milkins.

The final saw John Higgins beat Mark Williams 10-4 and became only the third player to retain the title after Steve Davis (1980 and 1981, 1984-87) and Stephen Hendry (1989 and 1990, 1994-96).

This was to be the last UK Championship to be held in Bournemouth which has hosted the championship since the 1998. From 2001 onwards, York would host it.
