Five Counties cheese

Five Counties cheese is a combination of five English cheeses. They are generally taken from among the following:
*Cheddar
*Cheshire
*Derby
*Double Gloucester
*Lancashire
*Red Leicester
*WensleydaleThe five types of cheese are combined in layers, and although they are not in any particular order, they are usually alternated in layers of yellow/orange and white. Since there is no agreed-upon combination of the five cheeses, there are many varieties in the market. Generally, the cheeses are layered in such a way that not only is the combination pleasing to the palate, it is pleasing visually as well.
