Plot
In the game's backstory, a villainous sorceress Darzel has captured three dragon-slayers: Kragor the warrior, Flavia the female barbarian, and the good sorceress Rina. The player's role is to battle black magic and monsters using magic balls (pinball balls of the game) as a weapon on the quest to rescue the captive heroes, and then them lead in their fight against Darzel and her evil dragon consort to free the village of Kalfin's Keep.
Gameplay
There are several various stages and bonus/boss stages in the game. However, none of them is attempting to emulate an actual pinball machine like in most other pinball games and the game only uses basic pinball mechanics.
Reception
Dragon's Revenge received the score of 8 out of 10 in the review by Video Games & Computer Entertainment ("video pinball meets Dungeons & Dragons (...) a cool twist on pinball"), the score of 3.5 out of 5 by GamePro ("a solid game for pinball fans and gamers who like fast action [and] liked Dragon's Fury"), and 46 out of 100 by Game Players ("may look like a great pinball game, but the flipper controls and shot angles are rough around the edges [and] even the graphics aren't up to Tengen's earlier pinball efforts").
