Challenger Middlefield

Challenger Middlefield is a private school in Palo Alto, California. It goes from K-8 and includes preschool. Michael O'Moore is the principal of elementary and middle school, and Kamilah Abdul-Haqq is the principal of preschool and kindergarten.

The current Student Council President is Sanjeet Raman ; the current Vice President is Tristan Chu; the current Treasurer is Zora Singh; the current secretary is Roshni Desai; the current Activities Coordinator is Ameera Naguib. Their newspaper is called The Middlefield Scoop, which was started by Editor of '07, Nureen Khadr, and is currently run by Swetha Govind.There are numerous committees with heads and co-heads running them, such as: catalog sales (a fundraiser) from Great American Opportunities, Inc. ( [http://www.gafundraising.com] ), an end-of-the-year carnival, a 5th grade fun day (fifth graders spend a day with middle school to show them what Middle School is like), and holiday-themed greeting cards. A long standing classic committee is the Haunted House committee, which runs the Haunted House on Halloween. There is also a well-known Easter committee, which conducts an Easter egg hunt for all the students. Most of the student council are 8th graders.

Challenger Middlefield is located across Charleston Street from Charleston Plaza. Most of the students that are allowed to go home on their own are usually found in the Palo Alto Mitchell Park Library nearby.
