Tania Bryer

Tania Bryer (born 1962) is a British television personality, occasional fashion model, journalist, and motivational speaker. She is the daughter of Lionel Bryer and grew up in Knightsbridge.

Biography

Born and first educated at Queen's College in Harley Street, London where she passed 3 A Levels, she has a bachelor's degree in politics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., from which she graduated in 1984. In 1987 she began a modeling career.

Career

From a sales position at "Vogue" magazine, she joined the satellite television channel Sky News in 1991 as a weather presenter. The following year, she replaced weather girl Ulrika Jonsson on TV-am's daily morning show, "Good Morning Britain". Her other presenter credits include fashion and entertainment shows such as "The Supermodels", "Showbiz Weekly", and "Basic Instincts". She has written for various publications, including "OK!" magazine, and has been the London correspondent for the New York-based CBS shows "Entertainment Tonight" and "Inside Edition". Because of her cheeriness she has been called "Tracey Sunshine".

She also featured in an episode of the parody news show "Brass Eye"; in the "Science" episode she spoke about mutant clouds and rivers flowing backwards, as well as vertical tube farms.

Personal life

Bryer was married to Tim Moufarrige, a senior executative of sports agency IMG, but divorced him in 2006. The couple have two daughters together. She is currently dating Rod Barker, a hedge fund manager who has three children from a prior marriage.
