Primary Times

Primary Times

Primary Times is a free family magazine which is distributed to schools across the UK and Republic of Ireland. The magazine aims to inform families and children about current educational issues, forthcoming events, courses and attractions to give teachers, pupils and parents the opportunity to participate in the magazine by adding to its contents and or joining in the competitions.

Now in its 18th year, Primary Times publishes 55 separate magazines across the UK and Ireland with a combined distribution of 2.3 million copies per issue.

It is published once every term before each major school holiday plus a 'back to school' issue in the autumn, and contains competitions, games and listings of events in your local area.

Critics of the magazine claim that it is exploiting schools to distribute its commercial advertisements to children and parents. However the magazines do not carry any advertising considered to be offensive to young families or harmful to the best interests of young children. The magazine does not use a commercial distributor but instead uses schools and teachers to distribute the magazines.
