America's Forgotten War

The term America's Forgotten War refers to any of several wars:

*Barbary Wars - largely passed out of popular memory within a generation.

*Korean War - "Some call it the forgotten war, but for two years America fought a full fledged war to keep South Korea free." [ [http://www.historycentral.com/wars.html America's Wars - A Complete History ] ]
*The War of 1812 - War between U.S. and the U.K. from 1812-1814 fought over issues such as impressment and the violation of American neutral trade.
*The Philippine-American War - a conflict between the U.S. and the First Philippine Republic from 1899 through at least 1902.
