Brian MacLaurin

Brian MacLaurin (born 07 December, 1949 in Scotland) is today best known in the world of public relations in the UK where he is the founder of Brian MacLaurin Associates, which represents a range of high profile clients and brands in the world of entertainment, business, and sports.

Career to date

A former journalist and broadcaster, Brian launched his first PR company, MCM, in the early 1990s, which was renamed MacLaurin in 1995, and it became the UK's fastest growing PR company- establishing itself as the largest and most influential media agency.

In early 2001, the company was acquired by a venture capital-backed management team. In 2003 Brian MacLaurin launched the new agency, Brian MacLaurin Associates.

Many former MacLaurin employees went on to establish their own agencies including Ian Monk Associates, Ocean Media, Ing Media, RJH, Threepipe, Media Foundry and Mission PR, whilst others have become senior communicators in a range of high profile companies such as L'Oréal, The Perfume Shop, UKTV, VH1, MTV, Turner Broadcasting and The Missing Children Society of Canada. Some of Brian's clients include Chris Tarrant, Jamie Murray-Wells and Colin Montgomerie.
