History

Concurrent traces its history to Interdata which was founded in 1966. In 1973, Interdata was acquired by Perkin-Elmer which developed computers under its own name until spinning off the division in 1985 into Concurrent Computer Corporation.[1] Concurrent was in turn acquired in 1988 by the smaller MASSCOMP[2], which then assumed the name of the larger Concurrent Computer Corporation.
